How has your political views changed during your lifetime?

Imagen
Well, my views on politics changed very much, from a passive left -wing thinking to a radical Marxist view on politics. I think my very best influence when I was a child, was my family, where I learn about all the cruelty of the Pinochet dictatorship, the persecutions on the oppositions, including the deaths, the tortures, the desaparitions of people, and most important the search of justice of the family from many of this “detenidos desaparecidos”, the word that cross the world of the fight of mothers, sister, spouses, and not only in Chile, but in many latinoamerican countries, where fierce dictatorship despaired people. This create, I think, a left-wing common sense on me, mainly social conscience, but was in the university where I encounter a elaborated “guide of action” (Engels dixit) for my way of thinking, where when not only see more clearly the central role of the working class in the fight against exploitation and oppression, but more clearly a strategy, from where I get in

Post 1 - My Autobiography

I was born in Los Andes, Chile, a very close city to Andes mountains and Los Libertadores Cross. I have two brothers and a sister, I am the oldest brother, but we born in row a year after a year, so the age difference is very short. My fathers are from Los Andes city to, they married when they have only twenty three years old. A thing in this time not pass so often. A have a very pacefully childhood, the primary school was good, not big problems, the time was just pass playing with my brothers, my cousins, visiting my grandfathers, travel by Chile with parents in the summers, so was a very cool childhood. In my adolescence the thing become more trouble full, the transition from childhood was very gnarly. The fast changes in a fast world sometimes are not a good combination. So pass this time, I become more mature, with more perspective and more a easy going person.

Post 6 - What's your favourite TV show / film?

Imagen
ok, that´s a very difficult question, because there are so many good tv shows and films. so, to take just one, the Godfather movie series are my first choice. the movie is a delicatessen of good taste, the dialogues are profound, and the performances of the actors are just superior. the take of long time periods of the Corleone family, or Andolini family to the purist, is not so many admirated by the Godfather fans, but is a topic that I apreciated a lot. the racconto of the second movie is sublime, the dialogue beetwen past and present is a very carefully approach to the society in general, even take for topic a italian maffia family.  But not always was this my favourite reasons, with the time, my perpespective on the movie change a lot, but in betters and sophisticated ways. Is not that the reason to a movie classic, be a movie classic?

Post 5 - A photograph and its story

Imagen
Ok, this photo is very beloved to my, because I don’t have many memories of that time. And this photo bring me some memories to attach on. This photo is around 2009, in my grandmother house, where my parents live on to in that period. Maybe is a weekend, and spring season, the greenleafs in background told me that. My clothes is all clean and sharp, my tennis look new also, so that told me, that I stay with my parents for a time, and not live in Santiago. By the way, my grandma´ house is near of Putaendo, in the province of San Felipe, Valparaiso Region. For my face, I think a have a hangover, in that time a drink a lot, in all that time period until no so many years ago. But still is a loved one picture because remember who I was and road that follow to be what I become today.

Post 3 - What's your favourite piece of technology?

Imagen
Well, my favourite piece of technology, amongst all the pieces that still appearing, is the cellphone. I think is a more love & hate relationship, but honestly still my favourite. i received my first one around secundary school time, and was a reused cellphone by my father or sister i think. Is was weird because i only used to receive calls, in that time a dont have any money to put in, so i dont used a lot. was a cellphone only for calls and messages, just that, very far away of the actual smartphones. but when the smartphones appears, my relationship with the cellphones change a lot, because the internet, and the social media apps. i love the social media apps, and i hated to, but always reconciliated. I don’t imagine don’t have a cellphone actually, is a very useful tool to work and entertaining.

Post 8 - A subject you enjoyed studying this term

Imagen
Well, a subject that I'm interested in the most this semester was Colonial Arts. The development of western art in the conquered lands by the Spanish and Portuguese crowns until the republican period. The most fascinating thing is the encounter of two cultures/peoples, and what was the result of this in terms of art. It is fascinating to study and research colonial arts because there are so many different theories and views about that encounter of cultures. But when something is fascinating, it is tragic at the same time though, because this encounter was a truly genocide and ethnocide against indigenous tribes in the American continent during the first part of the encounter. Now even this happen, artists or artisans that created many of the colonial art were people of that indigenous culture, or mestizos. Consequently, they created an art in lin with the his masters' rules, but with the touches of millenial cultures like the Azteca peoples or Inca peoples.
